This science fiction movie tells you the story of Ronan Carver who is an amateur fighter that got a weird phonecall from his father, Alex Carver, telling him to come home. When he arrived at his house, he met up with his younger sister, Beatrix Carver who also received the same call from their father. Since their family wasn't really close after the passing of their mother, they assumed the worst has happened to their father. After checking their father's car's trunk, they found his bag with a ball-shaped thing wrapped in a piece of newspaper with weird thing news. Teamed up with their childhood friend, Harry, they went to this building that their father told them to go to. When the three of them got inside of the abandoned building, somekind of earthquakes happened and when they rushed to the door, something weirder is happening...
From the title you could guess that it has something to do with parallel universe/ alternate reality. Being a fan of this theory and Sliders tv show, it got me interested. Gotta say they acting weren't the best, but the effects were not bad. There's also a lot of holes in the plots. But eventhough the overall story were kind of flaky, I kinda hoped its a pilot episode for an upcoming Netflix series. Especially because the ending was soo intriguing, it would be such a waste to left it hanging.
