The story centered on Sgt. Odelle Ballard who was on a mission in Mali, North Africa. She and her team found an encrypted files about some fishy monetary transaction. She had the chance to saved the files into a flashdrive and hid it with her before a group of contracted mercenaries goes by the name OSELA, came and confiscated everything. When she and her team went to the location to get picked up, they got attacked by OSELA and killed the rest of her team.

Being the sole survivor of the attack, wounded and dazed, she managed to send a distress email before caught by some militant group. When the US Military claims that all the members of Sgt. Ballard was killed in an attack by the militant, Sgt. Ballard was taken hostage and went on a journey ... trying to get home .. alive.

Meanwhile back in the US, a former US attorney, Pete Decker, found some disrupting evidence of corruption in a company he's investigating on.

Right outside Decker's office's building, there's a protest going on, demanding transparency from the US government especially related to the military acts. And there's this young activist, Harrison Walters, who knows someone claimed to have proof that Sgt. Ballard still alive.

Personally, I never really like watching war-related movies/shows, nor anything related to conspiracy theory .. or anything involving politics in general. But when I watched this pilot episode, the twisted circumstances that intertwined the lives of Sgt. Ballard, Pete Decker and Harrison Walters got me hooked and will definitely going to watch the next episode.

SPOILERS

This hacker dude...
possibly has or will be killed.

Most likely by this girl...
who I suspect is a spy of some sort, if not a trained assassin.

These whole shenanigan is probably orchestrated by this guy...

And I really hope this kid...
will have a happy-ending.
