Brian Hirano

Remember this guy..?

If you guessed, Brian Hirano of Quest Crew, then lets be friends and fan-girling over him all day~ ! XD

O.M.G it is so hard for me to write down this content without feeling butterflies in my stomach *>_<*

But I shall try to pretend to be professional and blog down as objective as possible.

 Brian Hirano first caught the public's attention when he and his teammates, Quest Crew, competed in America's Best Dance Crew (ABDC) season 3 in 2009, especially when he pulled the ripping-off-shirt's stunt. But since I don't live in the state, I did not followed that show. But being an avid Youtube bum, I've "known" D-trix for quite some time as D-trix has been in handful of Nigahiga's videos and I also know that he is a dancer with Quest Crew. But not until recently I never paid real attention on any of the members of Quest Crew. Having "tunneled vision" is one of my awful traits :<

Anyway, back to Hirano~ *calm down butterflies*

I was watching one of D-trix's Food Challenge video featuring Quest Crew. My thought was, "Oh! His dancing mates, should be interesting." And from that very beginning, Hirano caught my eyes~ Mostly because he looked chubby, I remember thinking, "Is he a real dancer?" .. still, that moment poked my interest on him, thus begun my quest on stalking .. erm .. I mean digging for him. *why is it still doesn't sounds right?*

So so so, I started digging around. From Quest Crew's "somewhat-dead" Youtube channel, each and every Youtube channel of Quest Crew's members, all way up to Hirano's instagram and twitter account and of course digging around Google. I chugged down all the information I got and stored them all in a 2 Tb ext HD...lol jk ... I wrote it down in my Hirano Diary .. lol like that would ever happen, I'm too lazy for that~

Move along~

When I watched videos of Quest Crew's performance on stage, Hirano does not impressed me much as a dancer. He seems timid, rigid, emotionless even too boxy to do bboying tricks. To break it down, I see Quest Crew as a complete group where each members has their own specialty. Hok with his crazy tutting, Steve the bouncy trickster, D-trix with his mad air-flares etc. Hirano was not even the most good looking, imho. Well at least, if I were just shown a picture of Quest Crew members, I would've picked Ryanimay as the most good looking lad.

So, what is it about Hirano that brings all the butterflies to my tummy?

Honestly, I'm not quite sure yet (._. ) ('_' ) ( '_') ( ._.) Cause the more I dig around, the more impressive he became. Watching videos from Spinboy Aichi, I see Hirano as a good teacher and somewhat a daredevil, doing all the flips and bounce; from Aris' and Andy's videos somewhat captured Hirano eating and acting goofy; from Ryanimay's, Feng's and Hok's videos, Hirano seems pretty supportive and humorist; He also very talented in music and sports.

Some guy doing one-hand-sided-stand ... nothing to be alarmed of .. just another day at the airport :3

But as many other research, the more I dig around, the more questions I got. Mostly personal stuff to fangirling about, such as does he still have a girlfriend/is he married? Is he dating Dara Stardoll? What is his full name? Does he likes durian? Can he sing? Does he plays piano/guitar/violin/tambourine? How does it feels to grew out mustache and beard? Etc~

Again, being such a unreliable researcher, from some little effort I did, here are some stuff I remember to write down...

Brian Hirano's Trivia :

• He is of Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Portuguese, Philippino descent
• Grew up in San Carlos, CA
• Went to UC Irvine and graduated in 2004 (unfortunately I dont know what major he took, but I assume its either Economy-related or Computer Science)
• He did worked at a company for roughly a year before decided to be a fulltime professional dancer/artist
• Has worked with Far East Movement [Dance Like Michael Jackson music video] - Colby O'Donis ft. Akon [What You Got] - Natasha Bedingfield [Pocketful Of Sunshine] - Roscoe Umali, Nike, Asia Industrials and was a principal  dancer on America's Got Talent
• Been in movies such as Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (although I rewatched the movie and failed to spot him ::sadface::); Ocean's 13 and My Name Is Seven.

Since he's not super-active in social medias, it is hard to find newest info on what he's up to these days, but I assume he's been doing a lot of DJ-ing and a little of working out. Still, I hope to see this shy guy to be more productive, healthy and HAPPY BIRTHDAY HIRANO~ <3
