This 13 episodes Netflix series were all aired on April 10, 2015.
For most of Marvel's fans, we're pretty much familiar with Daredevil characters and overall story. For others that happened to watched the 2003 released movie and felt it was a let down, I would encourage you to give the series a chance.
For those who's completely new to this "superhero", this series pretty much tells you the story of Matt Murdock, a lawyer by day, vigilante by night that goes by the name Daredevil. He became blind when he was a kid after some freak accident. Raised by his father who was an amateur boxer, Matt learned a lot of good values from his father.
Taking set in Hell's Kitchen, New York as the playground, this series is not only brings you some bad ass action scenes, but also political intrigues played among the crimelords that controls the city.
Here's a quick review on each episode.
Episode 1 : Into the Ring
As usual we'll be presented with a brief introduction on who is who doing what. Matt Murdock and his friend, Foggy Nelson got entangled with the situation by representing Karen Page, who happens to have proof of an embezzlement scam run by a crime lord known as Mr. Fisk (sshhh.. you're not allowed to say his name) through his right-hand, Wesley. Wesley also organized allies with other crime lords in town, such as Madame Gao who handles drugs supply; the Russian mobs which deal with brute crime and shipping for Madame Gao; the Japanese Yakuza who controls infrastructures; and Leland who (I assume) handles the money laundry.
Episode 2 : Cut Man
Murdock as masked vigilante was saved by a nurse named Claire and teamed up with her to dig information from a Russian henchman about a boy they kidnapped. There's also a lot of flashbacks on Murdock's childhood about his father.
Episode 3 : Rabbit In a Snow Storm
Murdock and Foggy met with Wesley that "persuade" them to take on a case. While things getting more complicated with Karen Page, we'll be introduced to Ben Urich, an investigative journalist and finally get to see how Mr. Fisk looks like.
Episode 4 : In The Blood
Page contacted Urich to get him investigate Union Allied. We get to know deeper about the relationship between the 2 leaders of the Russian mob.
Episode 5 : World On Fire
Things got a little too firey for Murdock and Claire; Foggy and Karen; Fisk and his love interest; the Russian mob and the Hell's Kitchen.
Episode 6 : Condemned
Fisk's plan on rebuilding Hell's Kitchen in on motion and its started off by cleaning off the Russian mob from the equation.
Up to the 6th episode, Murdock doesn't have a flashy costume nor known as the Daredevil.
But Fisk has set him up as a threat to the safety of Hell's Kitchen's community.
