Just to be clear, I am not a fan of "reality show". I only following religiously 2 reality shows, Running Man and Catfish.
I've been following this reality/documentary series since its premiered on 2012 after I watched Catfish: The Movie.
Catfish: The Movie was about Nev Schulman's personal biopic on finding out the truth about a girl he's been talking to for a while but turned out she wasn't what she told him. In short way, Nev got catfished! *ouch*
Catfish TV Show is the follow up series where Nev and his buddy, Max Joseph, goes on a journey all over the state to "help" people who felt they're being catfished.
More than 30 episodes deep with Catfish: The TV Show, I still see Nev as hopelessly romantic guy with optimistic attitude towards every case they're handling.

While Max, I think he's a realistic guy. From the shows, there are some "rare" cases where it ends in somewhat "happy ending" but most of them aren't. Max is like Nev's anchor to reality.

On the 1st episode of the 4th season, Nev announced that Max would be absent for the next 4 episodes ahead because Max will be directing a movie in LA. So, Nev will have some guests coming over to help him co-hosting the show.
Should be an interesting sights to see how the guest hosts handling the situation :D
Max getting his big breakthrough directing a movie is a great news!
